A free mega eye check up camp was organised by Umar Alisha Rural Development
Trust in association with Gowthami Netralayam, Rajahmundry on 09-04-09 in the
premises of Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham, near gorsa Raliway gate,
Pithapuram. Miss Anjali (1 year - the youngest child who has inaugurated a camp of
UARDT) D/o. Rudra Raju Srinivasa Raju, Rama Prasanthi (USA) inaugurated the
camp. Dr. Umar Alisha the seer Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham and
Chairman UARDT has presided over the camp. In this camp eye problems like
Squint, Corneal Opesiti, Cataract are detected and treated.
A total of 598 eye
patients were sreened and 142 patients were given free specticles, 81 patients
were taken for free eye surgery( 12 squint, 65 cataract, 4 dermis graft).In this
Programme Dr.Ananda Kumar Pingali, Secretary UARDT, Peruri Suribabu, Treasurer
UARDT and trust members Vanaparthi Satyanarayana, Totha Venkateswara Rao, Kalki
Murthy and Gowthami Netralayam staff K.Anjaneyulu, K Lakshmana Rao (Programme
Manager), Ravi Kumar, Syam (Senior Technicians),Nazeer and other members
participated in the mega eye check up camp. |
