UARDT activities at Pithapuram on the occasion of "Gurupournima" - 18th Jul

Umar Alisha Rural Development Trust has organised several social services activities
on the occasion of "Gurupournima" 18th Jul 2008 at Sri Viswa Viznana Vidya
Adhyatmika Peetham, Pithapuram.
Umar Alisha Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithis:
Inaugurated as a part of Environment protection programme, UARDT Chairman
Dr Umar Alisha has inaugurated 35 Umar Alisha Paryavarana Parirakshana Samithis
(Umar Alisha Environment Protection Centres). Several such centres are expected
to be started at various villages and towns. These centres will take care of the
environment protection activities of the local areas, which includes plantation
of seedlings at various educational institutions, offices, parks, worship places,
and also organising awareness programmes. Around 1000 mango saplings were distributed
to samithis for plantation in their respective villages/ towns.

Free Homoeo Medical Camp:
A free Homoeopathic Medical Camp was also organised. Dr Ananda Kumar Pingali, Dr.
R. Ammaji, Dr B. Jagan Mohan Rao have Participated and treated around 1100 patients.
All types of acute and chronic cases were treated in the camp.

Free Distribution of Milk to Children:
Free milk was distributed to around 450 children under the age of 5 years
on the occasion.

Free distribution of sarees to poor women
Sarees and blouses were distributed to around 30 poor women on this occasion.

Distribution of literacy Kits:
12 illiterate of Pallipalem, Kajuluru mandal Umar Alisha Akshara Jyothi Centre and
48 illiterates from various villages were distributed literacy kits.
