World Environment Day Rally

Umar Alisha rural development trust , Pithapuram has organized World Environment day rally From RK beach to Vuda park on 5th June 2015 . Joint Collector of the District J.Nivas flagged off the rally starting from R.K.Beach to VUDA park where the members of the trust and public took part in the rally. Joint Collector
lauded the efforts of the trust in protecting the environment and trust’s tree plantation programme in the city and surrounding areas. Convenor of the trust , Dr Ananda Kumar Pingali , said that Umar Alisha rural development trust has designed the project called “MAKE VIZAG GREEN” to restore to green cover lost due to hudhud cyclone. The Trust aims at planting 10 lakh trees in the next five years and also geotag each plant to ensure the donor that the tree is planted. So far, the trust has planted 1200 trees with tree guards in the city , and the next coming rainy season it plans to plant nearly 200 plants with iron tree guards from RK beach to VUDA park and 1000 plants with cement tree guards in the Andhra University campus.
